The Surf Ranch is currently building Nicaragua's first professional concrete skateboard park plaza, located in San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua at the Surf Ranch Action Sports Resort. The skateboard park is public and free to use. There are over 5 million people living in Nicaragua with 70% of the population being under the age of 18. The skatepark will get the youth off the streets and give them something to do and practice towards.
Growing up skateboarding in Canada, we have been blessed with many skateparks in our town of 100,000 people. Imagine a country of 5 million people with no skateboard park. We have seen what happened when skateparks are created in third world countries and all of the good it brings. Now it is our turn to give back to Nicaragua.
The skatepark will have a seperate onsite skateboard shop, lounge with skate videos, restaurant, bathrooms, table and chairs, viewing areas, parking lot, lights for night skating and best of all, it's FREE. You also have access to stay at our resort for as little as $12.50 USD per night. Come rip it up!
