Volcano Boarding in Nicaragua
Nicaragua is a country full of volcanoes, so why just take a photo of them?, when you can strap on a volcano board and fly down the volcano at upwards to 82km/hr? Well you can, only in Nicaragua! This is the next "must thing to do" on every adrenaline junkies list, and guest what? It only costs $23 dollars! +a $5 entry fee into the national park.
45 minutes later we are at the top, wondering how on earth we are going to get down. However after some fun and games up there, running into the crater and taking in the expansive views, you quickly conquer any fears. We then have a lesson on boarding and a quick 5 meter practice run. Ok, you are ready, sitting and waiting for the final push, before you know it the adrenalin is kicking and you are flying down the side of the volcano at speeds up to 82 km/hr. We offer a lot of action sports, and we are honored to add volcano boarding to the list for our guests. Once the Surf Ranch Resort is open, we will be providing our guests tours up to Leon to Volcano Board. But for now, print off or mention the coupon below and bring it to Bigfoot Hostel. During wet season we leave at 9am and return at 2pm
During dry season we leave at 1pm and return at 7pm.
Remember there is a $5 entry fee into the National Park. You will be transported to the volcano in a monster mercedes truck (called "la naranja") that holds up to 30 people. We have a speed gun that measures everyones speeds. There is a 4 person minimum, but his is not usually a problem during the high season as we take 20 to 30 people per day.
