Skater using a rail on the Surf Ranch street course

SURF RANCH · SAN JUAN DEL SUR

Plan a skate camp in San Juan del Sur

A weekend skate camp starts with the riders, their skill levels and the features they want to use. Build the schedule around the concrete park and confirm the group arrangements before taking signups.

THE CONCRETE PARK

Plan sessions around the terrain

Skaters at the skatepark

Surf Ranch’s skatepark has a concrete street plaza and bowl, quarter pipes, ledges, rails and manual pads. For an organized camp, walk the park with the group leader first. Decide where each rider will start and where everyone will regroup between runs.

A mixed-level camp can use separate blocks for street practice and bowl sessions. Let the coach choose progressions for the riders present. Photograph or film from a spot outside the active lines, and agree on a signal for the next rider to start.

BEFORE INVITING RIDERS

Decide what needs to be reserved

A guest visit or day pass gives access to the skatepark. A camp adds a group timetable, teaching plan and room allocation. If you want private park time, a coach, equipment or a dedicated practice window, list those items in the group inquiry and confirm them for your dates before advertising the camp.

Send the number of skaters and non-skating guests, experience levels, preferred dates and number of beds. Specify who will supervise minors, who is leading each session and what each rider is bringing. Ask reception to confirm availability and sizes if the group plans to rent boards or helmets.

A SAMPLE CAMP DAY

Leave room between the runs

Start with breakfast and a park walkthrough. Run a short coached block on the agreed features, then take a water break away from the lines. Follow lunch with downtime or pool time and use a second block for smaller groups to revisit one skill. This is a sample agenda for an organizer to arrange.

If rain interrupts a block, move the group to lunch or an indoor video review and ask staff when the concrete is ready again. For an independent visit without a group timetable, use the skatepark and day-pass pages to plan your time.
