Plan group meals in San Juan del Sur
One table can include overnight guests on different meal plans and friends joining just for the day. Make a list by person and meal so reception can tell you what is covered and what will be ordered separately.
PLANNING NOTES
Who is eating which meal?
Example: six adults are staying overnight, two more adults are joining for the pool day and three children aged 2–12 are coming for lunch. Give reception two counts: six staying guests and five daytime visitors. For lunch, count eleven seats. For tomorrow’s hotel breakfast, count the six overnight guests.

Include hosts and drivers who plan to eat
Tell reception whether these people need a seat, a room or just one meal. A late arrival who misses group dinner should still be counted for the meals they plan to attend.
PLANNING NOTES
Compare the three arrangements
Direct room with breakfast
Breakfast comes with direct rooms and runs from 8 to 10 am. Lunches, dinners and drinks are ordered separately with this plan. If guests will spend a full day out in town or at the beach, count only the meals they expect to eat at the resort.
All-inclusive for staying guests
The direct upgrade is US$40 plus tax per adult and US$30 plus tax per child per night. For six adults staying two nights, the upgrade is US$480 plus tax above the room price. Coverage runs from 2 pm at check-in to noon at checkout. Ask reception about adult and child counts for the actual booking.
Day-pass credit for visitors
Two adults × US$15 and three children × US$10 gives the five day visitors US$60 of food and drink credit. The credit expires that day. Spending above it is paid separately. Ask reception how to apply credit when staying guests and day visitors sit at the same table.

Match the payment to the person
Agree who is handling extra orders and tips before the first drinks arrive. Make sure the person checking the bill knows which guests have day-pass credit and which selected a room meal plan.
PLANNING NOTES
Dietary requests and timing
Ask each participant for any allergy or dietary requirement in their own words. Send reception the specific ingredient, the meals affected and a contact for follow-up. For an allergy, ask whether the kitchen can accommodate it and what it can confirm about preparation and cross-contact. Wait for the kitchen’s reply before promising a particular dish.
Include the date, meal time, total seats, children’s ages, plan for each overnight guest and whether you want a shared table or private space. Ask for a proposal if you want meals arranged for an event or retreat. Reception can confirm times and pricing for the actual group.
