Bowl & transition
Follow a rider’s line around the curved walls before taking a turn. Leave the bowl to one rider at a time.

SURF RANCH · BOARD TRIPS
Skate the concrete bowl at your hotel, then ride out to Playa Remanso for a surf lesson. Here’s how to fit both into three nights in San Juan del Sur.
FIRST LOOK
The 8,000-square-foot concrete park has a bowl and a street section. Take a circuit on foot before you roll in. The gallery below shows the difference between skating a curved wall and linking obstacles across the flatter section.

Follow a rider’s line around the curved walls before taking a turn. Leave the bowl to one rider at a time.

The street section has quarter pipes, rails and manual pads. If you’re finding your balance, ask reception about a skate lesson before choosing obstacles.

If ledges are your thing, watch where the run-up crosses another rider’s path. Ask staff when the surface is ready after rain.
SAMPLE ITINERARY
This example uses the three-night Surf & Stay package. Give reception your experience level when you arrive. Ocean conditions determine lesson times, so move the skate blocks around the sessions they confirm.

Check in from 2 pm. Walk the park, ask about board and helmet rentals if needed, and confirm tomorrow’s pickup. Keep the first skate short if you want fresh legs for the water.

Have breakfast and meet your ride at the time reception gives you. The first lesson runs 90 minutes, with travel time on top. Back at the resort, choose lunch as your included meal or save it for dinner.

Use the second lesson to revisit what your instructor worked on the first day. Leave time for a swim or another skate after the ride back. Pack tomorrow’s dry clothes before heading to dinner.
Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 am. Check out by noon. If you have a flight, confirm the airport pickup separately before counting on a final skate.

WHAT TO BRING
Surfboard use and return transport between Surf Ranch and the lesson beach are included for booked surf sessions. Plan for the board to be available during the lesson. For independent surfing, a separate beach trip or an airport pickup, ask for availability and pricing.
Skatepark access is included with the stay. Bring your own skateboard and helmet or check with reception about rentals and sizes. Skate instruction and equipment rentals are separate from the surf package.

Four friends staying three nights would start with eight lesson places if all four select the standard two-lesson package. If just two friends want two lessons each, you need four lesson places across the trip. Adjust the quantities in the builder and check the revised total before paying. Ask reception how to assign the sessions to the two surfers.
The other two can plan a skatepark session at the resort while the surfers are out. Confirm the day’s lesson pickup first, then set the group lunch time around the return ride. Ask about rental boards and helmet sizes before leaving your own gear at home.
PLAN & BOOK
The three-night package starts with breakfast, two surf lessons per person and three lunches or dinners per person across the stay. Drinks and additional meals are separate. The package builder lets you adjust lesson and meal quantities and see the resulting total before paying.
On the packages page, select three nights, your dates and the number of guests. Choose the rooms, check the final total and terms, and pay through the secure card or PayPal option. If you choose the group split, each person gets a payment link and the reservation is confirmed once everyone has paid.
Traveling with skaters who won’t surf? Ask reception how to book the right number of lessons for your group. A direct room booking also gives you breakfast and park access if you only want to skate.
